Saving one dog might not make a difference to the word, but it makes a world of difference to that one dog.

Sadly, this rescue organization is currently on hold due to the passing of it's founder, Cheryl Woodrome.  She died of a heart attack during the week of June 12 and all of the rescue dogs in her care have been transported to Animal House Rescue, Inc. near Chicago, IL (THANK YOU ANIMAL HOUSE!!).  Please check back for updates as we attempt to relocate this rescue organization after the devastating loss of our founder and main rescuer.

We have new contact information:

Adopting from ARSI

Our dogs are fully vetted and temperament tested. This means that they have been vaccinated, de-wormed, heartworm tested and altered (spayed or neutered). Should you find a pet that interests you, we will send you a 4-page adoption contract to fill out and return to us. We depend on your personal references, any history as a pet owner, relationship with a veterinarian and your environment, to see if the dog is a good fit for your family.

Purrsonality Cat Rescue has Joined us. They have many beautiful cats looking for a loving  home. They, too, will properly vetted and screened for a suitable home.

The survival of this rescue depends on monetary and in-kind donations of kind-hearted people everywhere. We are non-profit and need donations of the following to maintain day-to-day operations.

Welcome to My World Of Rescue

                                                                                FOOD FOR THOUGHT

We are A Nation of Animal Lovers , we share our Homes with 90 million cats and 75 million dogs , We talk to them ,Keep pictures of them in our Wallets , celebrate their birthdays, travel with them , and greet them upon coming home even before we say hello to our spouse and kids . We include them in Holiday celibrations and take time off of work to care for them when they are sick . And when it is time to say goodbye we grieve .

Every year ,we spend more than 38 billion dollars on our animal companions . And we Donate billions more to Charities that Promise to help Animals in need , with the largest of these having annual budgets in excess of one hundred million dollars .

Most Americans today hold the Humane Treatment of Animals as a Personal Value ,reflected in our laws ,The collection of organizations founded for animal protection, increased per capita spending on animal care , and great advancements in veterinary care . However ,the Agencies that the public expects to protect animals are instead Killing more than 5 million annually .

How did this Happen ? How did the very Charities founded on the Highest Ideals of Compassion become the Nation"s leading killers of Dogs and Cats ? How did a Nationwide System of tax-funded animal shelters that the public expects to provide a second chance for homeless animals become a network of Agencies  that does little more than kill them ? And why does the animal- loving American Public, the very same people who talk to their own pets and Celibrate their Birthdays , not only Accept this situation But Continue to foot the billing for the daily killing of animals through taxes and Voluntary Donations?

Shelter Killing is the leading cause of death for Healthy dogs and cats in the United States ,some 5 million are killed in our NAtions Shelters every year . The numbers are stagering. For far too long ,we have been led to believe their is no other way . More than that we have been told that this killing is the right thing to do .

Welcome to Honor Farm Foster Rescue

We are up early in the morning , I spend my early hours posting for the dogs in danger and checking my emails from the night before ,getting in as much computer time as possible before 6.30 ..

Then the day begins . Each age group needs to be let out to poddy and playtime to stretch from being in timeout at night .. Breakfast is at 7.00   all dogs eat out of their cages in their own spot .. another half hour of playtime and the groups are divided into smaller groups , By 8.30 I am cleaning beds toys bowls and  giving someone a bath .. it is still play time until 9.30 or 10.00 then everyone goes down for a nap . Each day there is one on one training ,the training depends on the dog and it's needs ..The rest of the day is filled with appointments and trips to Animal Control to check on the needs and keep updated with the pictures for the site .. Vetting needs are every two weeks or more if needed  ..I have a very heavy schedule and ask please make an appointment before making the trip here ..This way I can filter the traffic with the dogs schedule .. I am dedicated in making your future  Rescue Dog  crate trained house trained and on it's best behavior .

.

I accept Screened Owner Turn In's ..this way your Dog or cat does not loose it's Identity but is undertood and quickly finds a new home to fit it's personality and needs . After turned in you are still allowed to call or visit your pet By Appointment until his new home is found ..

Puppies turned in must have their first  vetting done to insure the safety of the other animals involved and must sign a promise to have the parent or parents Altered to assure no future overpopulation .

I have to right to decline any animal that may prove to be a threat to any of my other Foster Animals .
